Spark Rewards “Spark Hope” Campaign
Official Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”): a. “Spark Rewards” refers to the loyalty program administered by FIKA Company. and its affiliated entities (“Sponsor”). b. “Campaign” refers to the Spark Rewards – Spark Hope initiative conducted between November 13, 2025 and December 31, 2025 (“Campaign Period”). c. “Member” means any individual enrolled in the Spark Rewards program who meets the eligibility requirements set forth herein. d. “Second Harvest” refers to Second Harvest Canada, a registered Canadian charity and the designated beneficiary organization of the Campaign. e. “Points” refers to Spark Rewards loyalty points accumulated by Members pursuant to the Spark Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
2. Campaign Overview
During the Campaign Period, Members may elect to redeem accumulated Points in designated increments toward the Sponsor’s collective donation goal of ten million (10,000,000) Points, representing a total monetary contribution of twenty thousand Canadian dollars (CAD $20,000) to Second Harvest. The Campaign’s charitable impact, as reported by Second Harvest, is expected to provide approximately 50,000 meals and prevent 2–12 tons of food waste from entering landfills.
Pursuant to Second Harvest’s 2024 Annual General Meeting Report (secondharvest.ca/post/second-harvests-2024-annual-general-meeting-recap), Second Harvest rescued over 74 million kilograms of food in 2024, avoiding 227 million kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions and supporting the distribution of 155 million meals nationwide. Sponsor references this data for context only and makes no representation as to specific outcomes of the present Campaign.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The Campaign is open to all active Spark Rewards Members who are legal residents of Canada and have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. 3.2. Points-based redemptions are not available in the provinces of British Columbia (BC) or Yukon (YT) due to applicable compliance restrictions. Members residing or transacting in BC or YT may contribute through voluntary cash donations either in-store (where available)
or directly at www.secondharvest.ca. 3.3. No purchase is required to participate. Void where prohibited by law.
4. Method of Participation
4.1. During the Campaign Period, eligible Members may redeem points for donation through: a. the Spark Rewards mobile application; b. the Spark Rewards website; or c. participating retail locations in authorized provinces. 4.2. Points may be redeemed in the following fixed tiers: 100, 500, 1,000, 1,500, or 2,000 Points. 4.3. Members may complete multiple redemptions provided sufficient Points are available. 4.4. Members without adequate Point balances may donate directly via the Second Harvest website or designated in-store donation mechanisms. 4.5. For each successful Refer-A-Friend registration completed during the Campaign Period, the Sponsor will contribute an additional 1,000 Points toward the collective donation goal.
5. Value and Treatment of Points
5.1. All Points redeemed for this Campaign are converted solely for the purpose of calculating the Sponsor’s aggregate charitable contribution to Second Harvest. 5.2. Individual Member redemptions do not constitute direct monetary or charitable donations from the Member to Second Harvest. 5.3. Members will not receive charitable donation receipts. 5.4. The Sponsor will remit the final donation amount corresponding to the total Points redeemed, up to a maximum of CAD $20,000, to Second Harvest following the conclusion of the Campaign Period.
6. Finality and Modification
6.1. All redemptions are final, irrevocable, and non-refundable. 6.2. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate the Campaign, in whole or in part, or to adjust donation targets or timelines at any time without notice. 6.3. In the event of cancellation or early termination, Sponsor may determine an alternate method of donation distribution consistent with the Campaign’s charitable purpose.
7. Privacy and Data Use
By participating, Members consent to the collection and use of their personal information by the Sponsor for the purposes of administering the Campaign and reporting anonymized, aggregated data for business and promotional use, in accordance with the Spark Rewards Privacy Policy. No personal information will be shared with Second Harvest other than aggregate participation metrics.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. The Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents shall not be liable for any technical malfunctions, system errors, unauthorized access, or any other circumstance beyond their reasonable control affecting participation or data transmission. 8.2. The Sponsor and its affiliates disclaim all liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of participation in the Campaign or the inability to participate. 8.3. Second Harvest is an independent charitable organization and assumes no responsibility for the administration or execution of the Campaign.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be adjudicated exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, located in Toronto, Ontario.
